Move Well, Get Dirty: A Philosophy for Lasting Change
A commitment to both emotional and physical well-being through movement and accountability
Move Well means paying attention to how we move through life—physically, emotionally, and mentally. By moving intentionally, we can calm the nervous system, improve focus, and manage stress more effectively. I help clients use the body as a tool to regulate emotions, release tension, and build resilience. Moving well is about making small, consistent choices that strengthen both mind and body, creating steadier ground to handle life’s challenges.
Get Dirty is about doing the work that feels uncomfortable but leads to growth. It’s facing fears, pushing past limitations, and choosing action even when it’s hard. That might mean confronting anxiety instead of avoiding it, having a tough conversation, or stepping into change we’ve put off. Getting dirty is about taking responsibility for our well-being, practicing vulnerability, and building the confidence that comes from showing up—even when it’s messy.
Transformation, Not Quick Fixes.
The "Move Well" and "Get Dirty" principles reflect a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy–informed approach, where actions (physical movement) challenge and shift emotional responses.
My approach is about noticing the patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and actions—and then gently shifting them. We use movement and small steps of action to break cycles that keep you stuck, helping your body and brain learn new ways to respond.
